Her art education includes:
Ellen is a fine artist, a painter. She has been painting ever
since she was born. It is her paintings that have given her such
a fine sense of color. Although she still paints, she has been hand-dying
unique artsy clothes since 1990 and has shown at top shows
all over the US. She does clothes(wearable art) for the entire family,
but it is her dresses that are the most unique. She hand-dyes in
the tiedye tradition using fully saturated colors on fabrics such as Rayon,
Silk, cotton gauze, and burned out velvet just to name a few.
Each piece is totally unique, one of a kind, and has a painterly quality
about it. Her clients keep returning to her because her quality is
consistently high, her clothes are unusual and unique and the colors
remain brilliant wash after wash.
